I am going to divert topics for a moment, from property and the stockmarket to another area close to my heart....

Why choose network marketing as a route to financial freedom?

Robert Kiyosaki's book about networkmarketing, The Business School for
people who like Helping ,has been invaluable to me. Also Your First
Year in Network Marketing by Mark & Rene Yarnell.

My focus is currently on using network marketing to reach financial
freedom, then giving me the time freedom to get on with creating my
other 3 web businesses. In fact I am finding that I love the NWM just
as much as my own creations!

So why am I choosing NWM?

Like most of you, I want a flexible business with tax breaks and
travel opportunities (amazing opps there!). I am going to Utah in
August & have had opportunities to go to Calgary & Sydney...

I have loved my journey with the Moneygym & am amazed that I am still
surrounded by people who just do not get it, not having read Rich Dad
Poor Dad etc (Moneygymers excluded). This gives me an opportunity to
help people to "see it" and help them to take the steps they need to to reach financial
freedom.

I love helping people to see how they can take real steps to help
their own health and wellbeing, rather than what I do in general
practice all day, measuring & giving medicines, diagnosing (that's
fun) but with no time to discuss what matters. With USANA I have that -
everyone taking these is improving their health, often with tangible
benefits.

NWM has systems set up. I love systems as a route to financial freedom
& becoming more hands off things. That is what attracts me to the
internet as well of course.

NWM gives me guaranteed product quality (depending on the company of
course) - far better than I could possibly have if I was creating
supplements myself - I couldn't even go there.

The team work is fabulous - for those that go into it intending to be
a part of the team. I have people I can ring or skype several times
per day if I wish, and I speak to them several times a week.

The training is unparallelled. There are 4 weekly online training sessions for 2 hrs on Mondays, availble in 3 time zones. I am giving the product training talk to new
associates next Monday evening for example, telling them all about the
products we have. So I am teaching.

I am facing my fears daily, and that lets me grow. My fears of selling
& promoting (although I do that about statins etc every day...), my
fears of presenting on & off line...

Property Investing helping the Homeless

My buddies at The Moneygym have organised a great property day on 21st march, to help us all to keep up with the changing face of property investment while supporting the homeless. They are hoping to donate £4500 (the total ticket sales) to The Big Issue.

My Wealth and business Coach, Judith Morgan, is an accountant (ex-) with a mission - to help as many people as possible find financial freedom by breaking out of tradditional and now out of date methods of living/ investing. I love her to bits!

The methods they are discussing on 21st are varied, including Rent to Own, Homes under th Hammer expert Martin Roberts, and investing in the Caribbean with Harlequin.

Owner - Occupiers - a changing trend in property ownership

The current climate of renting versus owning property is in a huge state of flux at present.

Savills have sent out a great assessment of the current reduction in owner-occupation levels. Do contact them if you would like to be Emailed a PDF copy of the report.

This is great for buy to let property investors, as it will mean increased people wishing to rent. however, at the same time there will be more properties on the rental market.

Their key findings are:

	Although most households are still owner-occupiers, the number of them has actually been falling in recent years. They were 71% of all households in 2003 but 68% in 2008.
	The main reason behind this move away from owner-occupation was an increase in private sector renting at the expense of owner occupiers buying with a mortgage. They expect the rates of owner-occupation will continue to fall before stabilising at lower levels within the decade.
	Only 37% of all households are buying with a mortgage which means that 46% of owner occupied households own outright, with no mortgage. Owner-occupation is increasingly dominated by those with equity in their property rather than borrowing.
	The private rented sector has been expanding at an unprecedented rate since 1988, growing by an average annual rate of 3% per annum. By 2008, 14% of all English homes were privately rented (compared with 7% in 1989).

The property sector is ever changing, as with all investment sectors, but over time it will recover. Getting into property remains a high priority for me, and now is a perfect time to invest. Just waiting for my equity to be released to invest in another!

Creative Visualisation - What will YOU do when you have the money?

One of the streams of income that I am developing for my financial future is in Network Marketing.

I will be posting on this aspect more over the coming months (when time allows), but for now here is a great idea.....

One of my upline at USANA Health Sciences had a great idea.

She sent round an Email asking us to take part in a competition - "All
you have to do is e-mail me with a list of 25 things you will do when
you reach a pin level of your choice
eg When I reach the level of Gold Director I will:
Give up my day job
Take the family skiiing
Buy a new car
etc"

Now a Gold director is when you are earning approximately £710 per
week in commissions and bonuses, with profit added on top. Eminently
achievable. So I thought this was a great piece of creative
visualisation.

My answer was:

When I reach the level of Gold Director I will:

Build up my Financial Freedom for Doctors business including property
investment
Take the kids to America on a ranch holliday near the Rockies
Be able to take a holiday abroad every year – see the world!
Set up even better support for my USANA team, with my blog postings on

NHS Superannuation Scheme

Hi there,

Life gets increasingly busy, doesn't it - I am sure you understand why as a GP I have not had as much time as I wished to post on my Financial Freedom blog!

Here is a note I had a while ago about our superannuation scheme - I personally had difficulty working out what benefits I would have as a part-time GP who may or may not be working in the NHS when I reach retirement age...

In April (2008) the ill-health retirement benefits available from the NHS Pension Scheme changed. They are now known as Tier 1 and Tier 2.

* Embroiled in a situation where they need to sell their property quickly. Such situations may include a divorce, relocation, family and/or inheritance issues, death, or job matters.

* Frustrated because their properties have been sitting on the market for some time - some as long as four months - with no imminent sign of a sale; or,

* Engaged in other important pursuits and do not want to be bothered with property maintenance.

Property investors who have become successful in their line of business understand that the key to their achievement is to find bargain properties especially from distressed sellers. If you want to buy a property, rent it out and earn additional income, be sure to buy cheap - which is possible through repossessed properties.

2013: 25% Rise in House Prices

2008 is the year of opportunity.

To those who are thinking of when to start planning to become financially free, here is another very interesting article that I would love to share with you.

The National Housing Federation has forecast that house prices in England & Wales will rise by 25% by 2013.

The federation states that while there will be a slight reduction in 2008 of 4.4% and a smaller reduction of 2.1% that house prices will quickly recover and will be rising by 9% in 2012 and 2013.

It states that one of the reasons for the growth bounce-back is that there is a great demand for housing and this demand has not diminished but in fact will grow. The demand will be partly prompted by the cutback of new houses on the market as house builder’s mothball and delay projects during the current housing uncertainty. People are also living longer and the high rate of divorce continues to prompt demand for even more housing as couples split up and need two homes instead of one.

The Federation predicts that the cost of an average home in England by 2013 will be £274,700.

Therefore investors need to consider 2008 as the window of opportunity to buy property as cheaply as possible. There are still a large number of motivated sellers but as soon as the market starts to recover then these sellers will be more tempted to wait or increase their prices. It is probably that the current buyer's market will only last for another 12 months so investors should consider buying now rather than paying higher prices in future years.

The Forex trading market is beyond a doubt the worlds largest market where all exchanges happen instantaneously. Thus, trades are a key challenge for even the most knowledgeable Forex bankers and traders. They have to learn and consider many factors before performing even a single trade.

At first when currencies began to be traded openly, only large banks were allowed to perform trades. These days, due to the advent of internet trading and margin accounts almost anybody can begin Forex trading. This in turn, has added to the liquidity of the Forex market, and has resulted in a huge increase in the number of individuals who are now active in the market.

So, does this mean it is easy to earn money through Forex trading? To answer this we must consider a few things.

Also, remember to try to have some fun. The clearest sign that Forex trading is not for you is if you find the prospect of learning about how the Forex market works boring or dull. If this is the case you wont stick with it long enough to make money and you will be among the 90 percent who fail. Just remember these three important things: be disciplined in your trading habits, manage your money wisely and enjoy the experience of Forex trading.
